At the nexus between community development concerns, community engagement, landscape architectural and urban planning considerations, Sankar Nadeson's work on the GARLAND Protocol has benefited EastLink, Satterley Property Group and numerous City Councils.
GARLAND (a nomenclature for Generative Artistic Response to the Land) Protocol is a multifaceted approach which is focused on environmental stewardship, community consultation and engagement, public art, and First Nations perspectives to create and support cohesion within community.
The GARLAND Protocol is expressed through GARLAND Framework and Masterplan and has led to the development of new infrastructure and services that are in synergy with marketing and community development strategies, whilst generating strong community identity and belonging. Ultimately, this has led to more vibrant and thriving communities that supports economic and environmental concerns and connect to the real issues of community building and environmental balance.
